Devon is a Toronto Employment Lawyer and Senior Associate with Randy Ai Law Office. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2014 and has been practicing law continuously since that time. Devon has served as in-house counsel within the automotive industry, and as a lawyer and director of a provincial NGO providing legal services. Prior to joining Randy Ai Law Office, Devon practiced as a labour & employment lawyer in one of the best employment law firms in Ontario, Canada. 

 

Devon’s practice focuses on the resolution of a broad array of employment law and human rights law issues including but not limited to: termination package reviews, severance pay calculations and negotiations, wrongful dismissal claims, disability law and requests for accommodation in the workplace, and discrimination claims. In addition, Devon has considerable experience in several other areas of civil litigation and is happy to assist clients with tort (legal wrongdoing) claims, negligence claims, contractual and property disputes, defamation issues and student misconduct complaints.

 

Devon is an experienced litigator and negotiator. He has participated in numerous mediations and negotiations and regularly appears as counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Small Claims Court, and a variety of administrative tribunals including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

 

Outside the office Devon enjoys spending time with family, reading, podcasts and adapted athletics.
