Randy Ai Law Office is seeking an articling student for a 10-month term. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Completed three years of law school

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Highly developed time-management skills

  • An interest in labour/employment law would be an asset

Randy Ai Law Office is a boutique labour and employment law firm in downtown Toronto. The firm was founded by Randy Ai, Barrister and Solicitor, an Osgoode graduate and highly respected labour and employment lawyer.

 

Our areas of focus include labour and employment law, human rights law, litigation, and disability law. We represent both employees and employers in the Greater Toronto Area, and throughout Ontario.

 

We offer a friendly work environment, with flexible work hours and work-from-home options. As an articling student, you will receive one-on-one mentorship throughout the entire articling term, and you will be a valued member of our team. 

 

 

Articling Students Responsibilities

 

Articling students at Randy Ai Law Office will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Legal research

  • Drafting and editing of legal letters and correspondence

  • Drafting and editing of pleadings (including pleadings for the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Small Claims Court, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice etc.)

  • Drafting and editing of contracts, agreements, witness statements, policies, affidavits, and other legal documents

  • Attending or assisting with client meetings

  • Attending or assisting with mediations and court appearances
