David A. Coker is a Toronto employment lawyer and human rights lawyer, working in the field of employment law and labour law in association with Randy Ai Law Office. He is a passionate problem solver who strives to put the concerns of his clients first.David proudly provides strategic advice to both employers and employees on a wide range of legal issues. His expertise includes employment law, labour law, human rights law, immigration law, Ontario employment legislation, and occupational health and safety.
David has experience representing clients in matters of wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, terminations, layoffs, resignations, severance pay calculations, workplace harassment and bullying, human rights law, and employment contracts. He has a successful track record in representing employees who have been fired, and helping them achieve an improvement to their severance packages. David also has experience assisting employer clients with workplace policies, employment agreements, and human resources law.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with specialist in Economics and Political Science and major in Peace and Conflicts Studies from University of Toronto. David also earned a Master in International Relations from Carleton University and a Juris Doctor from University of Ottawa. He completed his joint articles and initially practiced law with the Trade Law Bureau of Global Affairs Canada and an immigration law office in Ottawa. When not practicing law, David enjoys watching soccer and participating in outreach activities.
