⚖️ What Is the Employment Standards Act?
The Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) is a provincial law that governs the minimum employment rights and responsibilities for most workers in Ontario. It applies to non-unionized employees in most industries and sets the baseline protections that all employers must follow — regardless of what your contract says.
